Chris Michels MSPT, JSCC, BHSP, CACI
Chris graduated with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (MSPT) from New York Institute of Technology in 2000 and has been an avid student, practitioner, and teacher of the healing arts ever since. Several years following PT school he underwent a 4 year certificate program at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Miami, FL where he graduated in 2009 with skills to work energetically with the human energy consciousness system.
In 2012 he became a board certified specialist (JSCC) in an Osteopathic technique called Strain Counterstrain. He trained at the Counterstrain Academy in Portland OR for several years and in 2016 he was certified to teach Counterstrain (CACI) for the Counterstrain Academy in Portland and throughout the United States where he taught for 6 years.
He is an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist by license, and a Healer and Osteopath by Nature. With a careful eye, refined touch, and his knowledge of anatomy he examines and skillfully treats the body. Often he begins with the feet and works his way up to the head removing abnormal stress and strain patterns to promote ease of movement, comfort, better posture, and peace of mind.
Chris is fond of spending time in nature, reading, folk medicine, prayer, and cooking and eating delicious Italian food.
